HOM Furniture’s Metro and St. Cloud showrooms teamed up with KSTP-TV for their second annual Stuff the Sleigh Christmas gift collection, raising more than $100,000 in toys and more than $20,000 in cash donations over the holiday season. Each showroom featured a festive sleigh during the toy drive, where customers and community members donated these toys and monetary gifts.

The gifts were distributed to families in need by The Police Federation and the St. Paul Police Foundation, who partnered with KSTP with the hopes of collecting toys for families in need that weren’t being reached by existing charities. They were joined by the Pinkyswear Foundation and Children’s Home Society in distributing toys and funds throughout Minnesota.

“We are proud to be part of the amazing communities in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area, as well as the city of St. Cloud, and are happy to have a small role in spreading the holiday spirit to families in need,” said Rod Johansen, CEO of HOM Furniture. “Thank you to all of our generous customers that helped stuff the sleighs with toys, and our partners that delivered them to kids in our communities.”

The collection ran from November 17 – December 7, 2019, and was featured on KSTP-TV.
