Coon Rapids, Minn. (November 14, 2017) – HOM Furniture was proud to help sponsor Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance’s (MOCA) 18th annual HOM Teal Strides for Ovarian Cancer walk and run on September 16, 2017 at Rosland Park in Edina, Minn. The event raised close to $300,000 for MOCA, a statewide nonprofit dedicated to providing support to women with ovarian cancer, raising awareness and advancing research.

Nearly 3,000 people participated in this year’s event, including employees and friends of HOM Furniture, survivors and others impacted by ovarian cancer, and many members of the community. Before the walk commenced, a survivor photo and HOM Teal Strides program started the day. The walk and run included a 5K run, 2K walk and a kids’ fun run, as well as a variety of entertainment along the race course. Awards were given to the top 3 male, female and survivor finishers in the run.

The 19th annual HOM Teal Strides event will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018.
